Welcome to the Foot Launched Microlights UK National Championships 2003 information site. The 2003 National Championships will be at Milton Keynes, courtesy of John Kemp, over the bank holiday weekend of Saturday 24 May to Tuesday 27 May 2003. Hopefully we can build on the 31 competing pilots from 6 nations of 2002, especially as the 2003 World Championships are in UK at the end of August. In these National Championships there will be one class; Foot launched PPG's, but the Powered Hang Gliding fraternity are welcome to join in if they can raise sufficient enthusiasm. Although the championships are organized by the BMAA , competitors need not be a member of any particular national organization. The only essential requirements are that all pilots must have 3rd party insurance valid for competitions and they must have pre-registered on the COMPS website. International guests are most welcome to participate and it should be excellent practice for the World Championships. The final pilot classification is an important indicator for the selection of the British team to compete at Long Marston in the 2003 World Championships 23 - 31 August. The pre-registration web site for all participants is www.flymicro.com/COMPS. Entry may be refused to people who have not pre-registered.
