Everest forecast - From WNI and AdventureWeather.com
By ExplorersWeb
*******************************************************************
WNI Headline:
The main headline for today is the possible development of a tropical
cyclone in the north/central area in the Bay of Bengal. Models have been
consistently forecasting a broad low for the past three days, but now it
looks as though there is a good chance the low will form into a tropical
cyclone next week. This will push plenty of moisture into the ME area
resulting in showers on Monday with a chance to increase in intensity
around early to mid-week. Winds continue to look good for this weekends
push to the Summit, but it might be a wet decent early next week. As for
the immediate future, there is a chance for isolated showers below 7500m
on Friday and Saturday.

Below 7500m - Models continue to delay the easing of the winds, but it
does look as though Saturday into Sunday winds will be near 5 m/s and
they should hold through the rest of the period. Also expect more of a
N/NW'erly wind shift on Saturday or Sunday. The potential tropical
cyclone is forecasted to send plenty of moisture to the ME area by the
start of the week. The moisture will easily be turned into showers. Will
keep an eye on the developing Tropical. Again, winds look good for this
weekend and great for early next week. The only concern at this time for
early next week are the snow showers.

Above 7500m - This period will be similar to elevations below, only
delayed. Look for the winds to be below 20 m/s by the evening on
Saturday. On Sunday and the rest of the forecasting period winds should
stay below 10-12 m/s. The concern is again the possible snow on Monday
through Wednesday. Winds look good for climbing this weekend and early
next week, but be cautious of the snow chances. Will keep an eye on snow
chances and the forecasted Tropical.

Safe Climbing!
