News release: Apr 25, Kathmandu
RMH has been in Kathmandu for two weeks now. The majority of the team arrived a week ago and have already departed for Lukla.We have struggled with customs, CAA and other burocracies, got our oxygen supplies, more or less got our fuel supply and now have all our permissions so astonishingly are more or less ready to go as scheduled.
The main problem has been our marvellous sat comms which have so far completely refused to work, hence no updates on this website. Hopefully a working system will be delivered to us in the next week or so.
Everything was loaded onto a huge mi-17 helicopter this afternoon and we will depart for Lukla at 6am tomorrow morning. I would love to show you a photo but I can't do this from an internet cafe...
Will send much more news as soon as we have some sort of decent comms....
